My artistic journey started in the early 1970s and writing was my first choice as a medium. But there was no
flow or rhythm to the words and thoughts. Writing was too difficult and felt like I was trying to make up things
I had no knowledge about. My medium became photography. Thirty three years later, over the last three
years, while I was immersed in photography and my most prolific art period, poems began to come through
me. I have heard song writers and poets speak about the phenomena of the words being channeled through
them. When it happened to me I knew enough to stop what I was doing and let the words come on through.
These poems were written between 2007 and 2010 except the last one is from 1972. Hopefully there will be
more poems for me to get out of the way of and let them come on in.
